Public saunas in Helsinki

Public saunas in Helsinki: over a hundred sit within 30 km of the city center. That is a lot of löyly.
Skip the hotel spa pass. You do not need a Finnish friend with a cabin key. The city runs working public saunas, swimming halls with sauna wings, floating sauna boats, and wood-fired smoke saunas on islands you reach by ferry.
We mapped most of them by type and distance from downtown. Every card carries an address, a website link, a Google Maps pin, and an HSL transit route. Closest ones come first. Pick one based on how hot you want the walk to be.
Some spots rent private time slots. A few only open sometimes. Check the schedule before you show up with your towel and a plan.
